This alcohol is a blend of calvados that are at least 18 years old, and is the first in the Adrien Camut “prestige” range. The Camut company’s high-stemmed orchards are located in the Eure department in Haute-Normandie, which are essential for the production of AOC Pays d’Auge.

Following a double distillation in an iron still and blending, no less than 18 years of aging in oak barrels were necessary to produce the Calvados “Privilège”. With this 18 year old calvados “Privilège” opens the world of great calvados. It is at this age that the apple slowly fades to make way for more complex flavors. Also, the notes of caramelized apple tatin are still perceptible, but they are now mixed with light flavors of undergrowth, almond, walnut, toasted and blond tobacco.

Containing no coloring or sugar and not having been filtered, this AOC Pays d’Auge Adrien Camut calvados is a copper-colored spirit, all in roundness and subtlety, with a very nice length.
