The tropical paradise of Trinidad is home to only one rum distillery – Angostura. But there used to be another. This was the legendary Caroni distillery, which sadly closed down in 2003. While the stills at Caroni might have run dry, they did leave an impressive 18,000 casks of rum in their warehouses. This Polish bottling company was created in 2021 and bottle designs of their ‘The Colours of Rum’ series are inspired by the flag of the country that the rum is from, which makes for a bright collection of rums! Caroni 24 Years Old The Colours Of Rum Edition 3 1998 has a nose of oak, vanilla, cherries and shoe polish while the palate displays dark fruits, oak, raisins, vanilla, tobacco and tar. Only 249 bottles of this extremely rare rum were produced so make sure you grab it fast.
