It is aged for at least four years and bottled at a mandatory 100 proof. Like other Kentucky Straight Bourbon made at the Buffalo Trace distillery (Eagle Rare 10, Stagg Jr.), this one is made from mash bill #1. The Colonel E.H. Taylor bourbon brand was set up by Sazerac at the Buffalo Trace Distillery in 2009, after the company acquired the rights from Beam. It’s an hommage to bourbon pioneer Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr., who fought for the Bottled-in-Bond Act in 1897.
