This Ardbeg 1996 Chieftain’s (21 Years Old) was aged barrel number 814, before it was bottled in October 2017 by Ian Macleod. Only 164 bottles of this peaty Islay whisky were released, making this a very rare 21 year old Ardbeg indeed. With it’s Chieftain’s range, bottler Ian McLeod has selected casks from great distilleries (some closed, some mothballed) that a true connaisseur will appreciate.
